The Design Intensive: What a Focused Week of Strategic Web Design Actually Looks Like

There is a version of web design that takes months. Full brand identity, complete website rebuild, email templates, and social setup. That is the Brand Ecosystem, the right solution for founders who need everything rebuilt from the ground up.

But not every situation calls for that level of scope.

Sometimes you have a working brand and a website that mostly functions, but one section isn’t converting. Or you are launching a new service and need a sales page built properly. Or you inherited a site from a previous designer and need it refreshed without starting over.

For those situations, the Design Intensive exists.

What the Design Intensive actually is

The Design Intensive is a focused VIP day in which we tackle a specific, defined scope of work in a single concentrated session. Six to seven hours of design and development work, prepared in advance, executed with full attention, and followed up with one round of refinements within five days.

It is not a shortcut. It is a different kind of engagement suited to a different kind of problem.

The reason it works is preparation. Before the day begins, you complete a detailed form outlining your priorities. We review everything in advance so that when the day starts, there is no time spent figuring out what needs to happen. We already know. The entire day is dedicated to executing it.

What can realistically be done in a day

This is the question you should answer honestly before you book.

A Design Intensive works well for:

A website refresh where the structure is sound, but the design feels dated or misaligned with your current positioning. Updating the visual presentation, refreshing sections, and aligning the overall look with where your brand is now.

A new page or section. A sales page for a specific offer, a landing page for a lead magnet, a new services section, or an updated portfolio page.

Brand collateral. Business cards, email signatures, social media templates, or presentation decks that need to match your existing brand identity.

Technical fixes and improvements. Contact form issues, mobile responsiveness problems, speed optimisation, or integrations that have been on your to-do list.

A Design Intensive is not the right fit for a full website rebuild, a new brand identity from scratch, or a project with an unclear scope. Those require the Brand Ecosystem process and the strategic foundation it builds before any design begins.

Who it is for

  • The Design Intensive works best for founders who already have a clear brand and a functioning website but need focused, expert execution on a specific project.
  • Past clients who need updates since we last worked together. Founders who want to test the Klesis Creative approach before committing to a full Brand Ecosystem project. Service providers with a clear, defined wishlist who need someone to execute it properly rather than patch it themselves.

The common thread is clarity. The more specific you are about what needs to happen, the more productive the day is. Vague briefs produce vague results regardless of how much time is available.

What the day looks like

The week before the intensive, you complete your prep form and gather everything needed: copy, images, brand assets, and login credentials. We review it in advance and confirm the scope is achievable within the day.

On the day itself, you receive real-time updates as work progresses. You are available to review and give quick feedback at agreed checkpoints so the work stays on track and aligned with your vision.

By the end of the day, the primary scope is complete. Within five days, you review the work and submit one round of refinements. After that, you have three business days of follow-up support for any questions or minor adjustments.

The process is structured that way because structure enables speed without compromising quality. A day without preparation is just rushing. A prepared day is something different entirely.

The honest limitation

A Design Intensive solves specific problems well. It does not solve foundational ones.

If your website is not converting because your positioning is unclear, a visual refresh will not fix that. If your enquiries are misaligned because your messaging speaks to the wrong person, a new sales page will not change who reaches out. Those are strategic problems that require the full Brand Ecosystem process.

Part of what happens at the discovery call stage is working out which situation you are actually in. Sometimes, founders come in thinking they need a quick fix, and the honest answer is that the foundation needs rebuilding first. When that is the case, we say so.

A practical note on the timeline

The Design Intensive books out in advance because the preparation required means we cannot take same-week bookings as a rule. Plan for at least one to two weeks between booking and the day itself to allow for proper preparation on both sides.

If you have a specific launch date or event driving your timeline, mention it when you enquire. We will tell you honestly whether it is achievable and if the Design Intensive or a different solution is the better fit for your situation.

If you have a specific website problem and a clear idea of what needs to change, the Design Intensive is designed for exactly that. Book a discovery call, and we will work out whether it is the right fit.
